A woman was killed and two others were critically injured in a crash in Hollywood.

A car struck three pedestrians in a crosswalk Tuesday night, killing two people and leaving a third person with serious injuries who is expected to survive.
The crash happened at 6:24 p.m. at 7079 W. Fountain Ave., near La Brea Avenue on the border of West Hollywood and Los Angeles, Los Angeles Fire spokeswoman d'Lisa Davies said.
Police say a 65-year-old woman and a 50-year-old woman died. A 50-year-old man was hospitalized in serious condition.
As many as three cars may have been involved, but there was one primary driver who was detained, Los Angeles County sheriff's Sgt. Chris Tatar said.
The three pedestrians had just stepped into the crosswalk when they were struck.
"There's a very serious investigation going on, but there was a red light camera there which should give us an assist in the investigation," Tatar said.
The detained driver suffered minor injuries.
